O2 is making a mark by bringing in the UK market fastest download speed on the mobile. The mighty and latest DC-HPSA will offer good 42 Mbps. With this exceptional speed offered by the O2, the other networks are soon going to follow the suit.
We are already fed up with Ofcom, which has this irritating habit of delaying the auction of the 4G LTE spectrum forever. This leaves us empty hand when it comes to high speed mobile broadband connectivity. However, thankfully there is some respite from O2 which is now improving and bringing to UK best 3G offering.
The superior roll of DC-HSPA (dual-cell high speed packet access) integration will bring excellent and outstanding speed of connectivity at speed of 42Mbps to assorted mobile phone users. This speed is definitely the double that is available through HSPA+-enabled smartphones.
This upgrade will give best experience to the users who have just brought iPad 3 and Nokia Lumia 900 – Windows phone.
A O2 spokesperson has revealed that roll out has begin in all the major cities of UK.
With this all the rivals of O2 namely Three, Everything Everywhere (Orange and T-Mobile) and Vodafone are all set to release the updated DC-HSPA connectivity to the mobile users at the earliest. However, the Sean Bean-endorsed network brings it first to the UK market.
Meanwhile, there is a pending decision regarding Everything Everywhere’s spectrum to be converted to 4G and roll out the LTE by the end of the year.
Other network operators are against this move. In this regard Ofcom is still to give any decision later this month. It has already granted permission to EE to move ahead.

Nokia has declared that the firm is going to defend its intellectual property. The Finnish firm has already launched the case of patent infringement against the top mobile manufacturers like HTC, RIM and Viewsonic.
Though, both in Germany and US suits have been filed. However, Finnish firm has assured that litigation action will not be taken.
Chief legal officer, Louise Pentland, commented that Nokia has all the technology that is needed for great mobile devices. More than 40 companies have been licensed essential for our standards. Well, Nokia has said to avoid the litigation, but this case has been filed in order end the unauthorized use of the innovations and technologies invented by us which are still not widely licensed.
The suits have been filed in the Federal District Court of Delaware against both HTC and Viewsonic.
In Germany, however the suits include state against HTC and RIM particularly in the Regional Court of Dusseldorf. There were plenty of allegations fired at all three major mobile firms in the Regional Courts in Mannheim. It seems Nokia is not taking the suits lightly and total of 45 patent issues have been cited in all the cases.
Nokia has also mentioned the areas where infringement has occurred such as hardware capabilities including power management, dual function antennas and multi mode radios. On the software end, these include app stores, dynamic menus, data encryption and retrieval of emails on a mobile.
Pentland has mentioned that most of these inventions are key to Nokia products. It is necessary of the companies to use their own innovations thereby respecting our intellectual property. No toleration of the unauthorized use will be done.

Du to lack of compliance of the O2 to follow the instructions laid down by the Nokia for the respective devices has led to the fallout.
Nokia has di
smissed O2 as the network operators among the others who are selected to stock the first range of Windows phone operating system devices.
Sources close to O2 have revealed that there were conflicts between the Finnish firm and O2 regarding certain criteria like volume targets, store displays and marketing campaigns which could not be agreed by the operators. This instead led to exclusion of O2 from the list of operators.
O2 has recently announced that it is reluctant to pull so much during the time when Apple iPhone 5 is also due for release. O2 has also stated that currently it is leading network operator connecting to majority of the iPhone devices in the UK.
Nokia CEO Stephen Elop on Tuesday 13 attended dinner with all the major network operators of UK except O2. The latest and the novel Nokia Windows Phone handset is set to launch at the end of November.
O2 on the other hand has a different story altogether, the head of retail Richard Baylis has stated that he was unaware of any such news and if this happens he will be more than surprised considering the long standing relationship with Microsoft.
A close source has revealed that O2 are great at marketing the handsets by promoting the deals and the plans specifically. They work in close contact with the manufacturer and send out the message quite well.
However, they have very close relationship with Apple which they cannot compromise with.

Recently unveiled, Sony Mobile Communication has revealed preview of the beta ROM for devices running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The comp
any has also gone ahead and promised that in future all the Sony Ericsson Xperia phones will get updated to the latest version of Google’s Android operating system.
Sony has further commented that the latest preview has been designed for the “advanced developers only”. If you want to check it out you’ll have first unlock your device’s boot loader to give it a chance. Sony is providing all the tool to go ahead with it but at the same time warns about losing the warranty of your phone.
This seems quite weird as on the one hand you are giving it and on the other taking it back. Well done Sony!
The launch of the beta ROM is most interesting thing for the people who are highly curious to get the sneak peek rather than a usable update.
Apps excluded from the update
As the update has yet not passed the Google certification process, regretfully the update will not support assorted Google apps available such as Gmail. Instead Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are not available as well.
What is available is the look at the lock screen functionality through which you can control music and even use camera app without unlocking. Add to this new quick dial feature.
With new and advance user interface with new Ice Cream Sandwich are also present and operational.
